About Me

Hi, I’m Mohnish Kumar from the UK. I am currently employed by a global design and consultancy firm as a Senior Cloud Infrastructure Engineer. I have previously held posts in technology consultancy firms as a consultant to design and deploy infrastructure solutions in Microsoft Azure, leveraging infrastructure as a service (IaaS), Platform as a service (PaaS) and Infrastructure as Code (IaC).

As a result, I’ve had the privilege of working across multiple sectors, including:

Project Experience

I’ve worked on numerous complex cloud deployment projects. My experience centres around the entire project lifecycle, from technical pre-sales to deployment and project closure. I also have a strong interest in project management and find this skill set crucial with my deliveries. Below are some of the recent projects I have led:

  • Microsoft Azure data centre migrations. Demonstrating collaborative work between multiple departments and the client, which met the tight deadline of exiting the client’s data centre.
  • Architecting greenfield Azure environments. This allowed businesses to leverage Azure to improve core business processes.
  • Leading global Microsoft 365 tenant to tenant (T2T) migrations. I developed a migration framework that involved structuring a discovery workshop capturing key requirements and analysing on-premise environments. Ultimately this allowed me to assist customers with precision, and efficiently migrate them to destination tenants with minimal downtime.

About This Site

I started this site to write about my experiences with cloud technologies. The blog mainly centres around Microsoft Azure, but will also cover Microsoft 365, Terraform and elements of productivity from time to time.

Cloud technologies can have a steep learning curve (inspiration for the website name!) and as a result, I’m always attempting to stay on top of my learning. Hopefully this blog can assist others too in the process.
